Fun with Grandma

Brandon's mom and dad had some work in Denver so we were lucky enough to hang out with them for a couple of days! Grandma Nielson's has a running tradition to do a craft with the girls every time we she her. So it was perfect that Rylee's new obsession is with DC Cupcakes, Cake Boss, Cupcake Battle and any other TLC or Food Network Show that is about cakes! They decided to make some fun cupcakes of there own. They had so much fun and they turned out so cute!

Some of the fun things we've done since our move to the Rockies!

We live really close to a great outdoor mall that does lots of fun events. In the winter they have a big ice skating rink and in the summer they play a move on a HUGE screen every Friday night. Lots of people show up hours before and set out their blankets and chairs on the big lawn. While we waited we played lots of fun games like balloon toss, hula hoop competitions and lots more! Then when it gets dark the movie begins!! It was a blast! the best part about it all is it is FREE! Free movie, popcorn, cotton candy, drinks, and lots of fun drawings to enter. Brandon answered a question right and won a bunch of fun coupons! I think this will be a family favorite!!





Saturday was a great Family day. We took a drive up to Estes park and the rocky Mountain National Park. It was GORGES!! the views wear amazing and the quaint little shops where lots of fun.....and we finally had some real Mexican food! Man its nice to be back in the West! The kids had so much fun with their little Junior Ranger books and are really excited to go back so they can earn they Official Junior Ranger Badges. We had a great day!


















Its going to be a great Summer.

We have spent the days walking around the money awesome lakes buy our house, and going to a different park everyday! We have found some amazing parks

Nielson Family Vacations - Chicago

Occasionally I get to DJ a wedding or two. Sometimes it is located far away enough that we get to take a family vacation at the same time. One of my classmates that attended Notre Dame got married there. Since we were not too far from Chicago, we decided to make a trip of it! We had a few other stops on the way! Enjoy the video!

Rylee and Rock Climbing

Today Michelle and I wanted to go the YMCA to continue our work out for the week. Rylee on the other hand knew that it was Saturday and they would have the rock climbing wall for some of the older kids to climb on. She did such an amazing job! We are so proud of her!

Fall-Break Trip

So the other day I found my little Easton up on the table eating all of the ginger bread houses that we made with Grandma Nielson. He had this little mischievous look!

Christmas Card Excitment

So I have been looking around at a bunch of different web sites trying to find my favorite Christmas card for this year. The Christmas card dilemma in my family is that Brandon really doesn’t care about doing them and the cost of them is hard for me to talk him into. Thanks to my friends over at Shuterfly I have successfully found THE BEST CARD! They are amazing over there! I have used them before to make books for my family, and have always been so happy with the quality and price off all there fun stuff.

It’s always a crazy time of year with all the planning, shopping, goodie making, and well you know how it is! And every time I mention Christmas card to Brandon he just rolls his eyes and says lets not do them this year:( It is always a struggle to find a cute one and I have tossed around the idea of making my own, but that is an overwhelming task all in it's self... Family Pictures

Thanks to uncle Bryce and his new B-Dizzle Photography we got some really good family picture's and we had a lot of fun even though Bryce may have had a few frustrating moments between Easton not wanting anything to do with him and the camera not working, but all in all it was great!

Our Little Helper

Michelle was taking some time to keep our car clean and our little Easton wanted to be sure to jump in and help with the cleaning! What a cute little guy!

New Marshmallow's and S'mores

Ok, so we found these new marshmallow's that are HUGE! They are about the size of three normal marshmallow's! We thought that they would be awesome for making some S'mores! Here are some of our pictures!

Grandma & Grandpa Nielson Came to Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Nielson came in to town this past week to visit. Wewere able to do a bunch of things such as going to the YMCA to go swimming,Louisville Underground Caverns and King's Island for a day of fun! Rylee was able to go on here first roller coaster! She was scared, but she did an awesome job! Thanks again for the fun times grandma and grandpa!
